ARTIST STATEMENT
My practice takes form through a series of experiments with different media. The idea behind these is what I call the 'process' not produced entirely myself but, by the work taking its own direction, it completes itself, finished by some external force. Starting a process, for example placing fruit in a particular position, I select the fruit and where it goes but not how and when it will begin to decay that is uncontrollable and this is my focus.
The motivation behind the work comes from perception and how you can alter and direct a persons perception, within the films sections can look like something completely different to different people. This originally came from investigating psychoanalysis and how a piece of work can have a response unique to the individual.
